These 60 minute virtual capacity-building and knowledge-sharing workshops will address common program design elements & challenges as identified by members of the global community of practice. The 2024 series will address topics such as legal protection and rights, policy and operational adjustments to facilitate greater access by refugee students to study visas, stakeholder mobilization and more! Workshop I: Case Studies of Refugee Voices: Firsthand Experiences of Complementary Pathways

This first workshop is designed to support the capacity of stakeholders to develop and implement complementary education pathways for refugee students. It will ground the series in lived experience to enable future program design to be shaped by people who have experience accessing those pathways. 

This workshop aims at attaining the following goals:

• Learning from refugee experiences within complementary education pathways;

• Understanding the considerations for pathway development and the unintended impacts for refugees;

• Guiding how organizations/institutions can build refugee representation committees within their structures
